    Acne Rosacea is a condition in which face becomes red due to erythema. Sometimes pimples also come out on the face. It is chronic skin condition on the face. Sometimes it also affects eyes. It is always treatable by medications.

    It affects people of all races.  Usually it starts at the age of 30 but it may happen even in 6os. Acne Rosacea causes redness on cheeks; forehead, nose in general but it may affect neck, ears, chest or scalp. Patients may feel stinging and burning in acne Rosacea condition. Coming of small bumps on the face is an additional symptom in Acne Rosacea. There are four different types of acne Rosacea and a patient may suffer from more than one type at a time. First form is known as Erythema rosacea. It causes permanent redness on the face with burning sensation. Second for is pustular rosacea. It lasts just for 3 or 4 days. It is more or less same like acne condition. Third form is Phymatous rosacea. It causes enlargement of nose, thickens the skin and can affect chin, cheeks and forehead also. Ocular Rosacea is the fourth form which affects eye and eyelid causing itching and burning.

    The exact cause of Rosacea is difficult to determine though some doctors are of opinion that it is a neurological disorder. It occurs due to hypersensitivity of neurons and exposure to bacteria in the digestive system. This hypersensitivity causes inflammation on the dermal stimulation. There are several factors that can trigger Acne Rosacea condition. These factors include exposure to heat, heavy exercises, sunburn, cold wind, stress and anxiety. Medications also trigger acne rosacea condition. Some wrinkle and acne treatments may also lead to Acne Roscea condition. For example, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, isotrtinoin, and benzyol peroxide can also induce Rosacea. Taking steroids also create Rosacea but steroid should not be stopped quickly. The dosage of steroid is decreased slowly if otherwise it may worsen the condition.

    It is difficult to diagnose Acne Rosacea in the early stage as it causes mild redness on the skin. There is no formal test to diagnose Rosacea either. An experienced doctor may quickly visualize the acne rosacea condition. To confirm the acne Rosacea condition, a normal treatment may prove to be worth. Very often Acne Rosacea is confused with Acne vulgaris and dermatitis. Treatment for acne condition varies from person to person. Treatment also depends on the type and severity of the acne condition. Consulting a dermatologist for acne treatment is always advised. Common over the counter product should be avoided as it may do more harm than good.
